Job Description
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the dryer is an agent responsible for operating and monitoring the proper functioning of the part of the machine drying the paper during the manufacture of the sheet.
It occurs after the sheet formation phase and possibly sheet finishing (addition of substances to modify the surface of the sheet) and before the smoothing of the paper by passing through a calender (not systematic) and the winding of the paper. the sheet (formation of the coil).
The supervisory assistant must maintain sustained and prolonged attention during the manufacturing process. He or she must anticipate malfunctions and react to them effectively in collaboration with manufacturing operators.
He or she adapts to the constant evolution of machines and installations, to new technologies and ensures in all his activities the quality of products and the conformity of processes while guaranteeing safety.
He or she works in close collaboration with manufacturing operators in order to inform, receive, ensure and transmit various technical information on the process to those concerned. He or she depends on the Dryer to keep them informed of any possible maintenance problems. He or she reports and receives manufacturing orders.
Required Skills
• Know perfectly the operation of the dryer and the wet part well enough to replace the supervisor during his absences
• Have good physical and psychological resistance
• Work nights, shift work
• Work in hot and humid environments
• Demonstrate constant vigilance to identify malfunctions
• Be able to integrate into a team
• Wear work clothing and personal protective equipment (noise, SCBA - self-contained breathing apparatus - for interventions in certain areas)
• Know and respect the instructions and safety rules (intervention on moving machines, etc.)
• Ability to work near radioactive sources of devices for continuous measurement of the physical characteristics of paper
• Handling and carrying loads when replacing felts and ropes
• Work in a team, have a sense of service, be able to replace a work colleague on a problem
• Knowledge of regulation
• Contribute through your actions and observations to improve everyone's safety, the quality of our products as well as the satisfaction of our customers and reduce our energy consumption and our environmental impact
The position is generally accessible from level V training (CAP, BEP, CFPA, etc.) in the fields of electromechanics, electrical engineering or mechanics and sometimes from level IV training (vocational baccalaureate or technology) in the same areas. Progression in employment/profession is often achieved through the acquisition of professional experience and versatility within the company.
